Happy birthday, Dad!

Thank you for being a part of my life, and working hard to make sure that I have a roof over my head and food on my plate. I will always appreciate you for working hard; you are where I get my hard-working genes from LOL!

I hope that you have enjoyed your special day! There are many more celebrations over the weekend!

On This Day in 1988...

On this day in 1988... my parents got married!

It has been 26 years ago, today, that my parents exchanged vows and got married. My parents are the perfect example of how every marriage should be. My dad found a diamond in a pool of stones. My dad takes care of my mom, and my mom takes care of my dad. My mom is a very domesticated housewife, always taking care of things in the house. She cooks (deliciously) on time, cleans, does the laundry, takes care of me, etc.

People who argue for the pettiest things nowadays break up or get a divorce, but not my parents. They may have their disagreements here and there, but they manage to work together to provide a better life for me...as it should be LOL! I hope that my marriage lasts this long the day that I get married.

Cheers for 26 more years! :-)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, everybody!!!

It is a tradition in the Almodovar household to watch the crystal ball drop in Times Square for the New Year! Ugh, I am homesick!

Anyways... I am so proud to see a Bronx native like myself [Sonia Sotomayor] pressing the button for the crystal ball to drop! That must have been such an honor! She is truly an inspiration, and is now someone new I look up to. My goals for 2014 and in my future is to be as successful as she is. If she can do it, I can do it too! I am going to take this new year by storm, just you wait and see!

*FYI: Do not mind my not-so-well-put-together-"all dolled up"-attire. I was in the comfort of my own home, therefore, I should be comfy, and boy was I!

Happy Father's Day to all the men out there who take care of their kids and take care of other men's kids. I am fortunate to say that I have had my dad with me ever since I was born, and for that, I am forever grateful!
